The scroll is worse with two people. Sharing is how you fix that.
Picking a film alone takes a while. Picking one with someone else takes longer, because you are both scrolling separate lists and neither of you can see the other one.
Share your watchlist with your partner, your flatmate, whoever you actually watch things with, and both lists sit side by side. You can see what you have both saved, and what you have each rated.
The overlap is the useful part. Two people who both saved the same film have already agreed on something without having to discuss it.
Open Settings and find the Share Watchlist section. Enter the email address of the person you want to share with. If they already have an account they see your list straight away. If they don't, we'll email them an invite, and your list is waiting the moment they join.
They get an email telling them you shared with you, and your list appears in their app. Nothing is copied. They see yours, you see theirs, and neither of you can edit the other's.
On the dashboard, switch to the shared view to see both lists together. Ratings from both of you show on each title.
They see your titles, your ratings, and the one-line reason you wrote for saving each one. That last part is usually the interesting bit.
They cannot change anything on your list, cannot see your email settings or API keys, and cannot share your list onward to anyone else.
Shares expire on their own after 7 days. You can also revoke one at any moment from the same Settings section, and it stops immediately. There is no negotiation and they are not told.
You can have up to three active shares at a time.
Share with someone whose taste you trust but do not live with. You are not picking a film together, you are borrowing their judgement. A list of forty things a friend thought were worth saving beats an algorithm that has never met either of you.
